Mazdoor Kisan Vikas Sansthan (MKVS) was established in the year 1999 by its present Secretary, Sri Ramdeo Prasad. Sri Ramdev influenced by Bharat Ratna Jaya Prakash Narayan. As his father Sri Janki Das actively participated in the Total Revolution, launched by J.P for which he was put behind bar by the then Congress Govt. led by Mrs. Indira Gandhi. He played a key role in Bodh Gaya Movement under the banner of Chhatra Yuva Sanghrsh Vahini.  Mr. Ramdev Prasad realized the importance and need of an organizational space to translate his father’s ideas into action. This realization inspired him to set up MKVS with a view to work in an organized manner for holistic development of Dalits.
